AFM's founder was introduced to kyokushin karate at age 14 by his cousin, who was a blackbelt from the founder of kyokushin, the great Mas Oyama. Nick then moved to Europe in the early 90's and trained with kickboxing & Muay Thai greats such as Ivan Hippolyte, Lucien Carbin and Ernesto Hoost. He started managing fighters in 1996 and worked with many striking world champions. As MMA became more of a staple, he moved back to America and soon-after founded AFM, where he has worked with some of the world’s leading fighters across many promotions, including the UFC. AFM’s founder is passionate about all aspects of combat sports and uses his experience to guide fighters to their career goals.

Building on his experience as the French national amateur kickboxing champion, Romain trained and earned certifications in sports psychology across Europe and beyond. He has also applied his knowledge and skills as a cutman, accompanying athletes at the world level in kickboxing, Muay Thai, and offering his expertise in striking for MMA.
Today, Romain oversees numerous athletes as the CEO of Training Camp Caribe in the Dominican Republic, while also working with athletes in the USA preparing for high-level competition in promotions such as BKFC, Karate Combat, Gamebred, and ISKA kickboxing title fights.
